Hey guys. Maybe a Rehab

Hey guys. Yesterday i hought about the players who really wanted a second chance... Is there maybe a way someone could start a project and get the players to start from say apprentice and work their way back up. Look at me. I've been a hard pill to swallow. I admit that but what about Milk and the other people who wanted a second chance... Ive been searching and i think i found Sam035...The guy thats been missing since i was designer... Anyways just think it through before you critesise me... or deny this... I am asking you guys nicely. If you were banned..and you wanted to start over... Wouldnt you like someone to help you out...Exactly what im proposing... Ive been temp-banned...but not perm banned so i kinda know the feeling....ive been demoted to the rank banned...and ive been there but excuse my language now "I ate failure and I * success." So my poinbt is you could start over and you could become better at it.. and be more thoughtfull of you choices..I myself am joining this because i am harsh and irrational some times and at other soft and easy...So just please think it through before you answer this..

Are you suggesting a sponsorship sort of thing, like in AA, but on minecraft? That sounds interesting, and as you said, you know the circumstances, and what others in the circumstances would probably be looking for. I don't mean to simplify your idea by comparing it to AA. I think it sounds good, not that I can do anything to advance it, but it sounds good to me.

Ummmm Yes well yes I was really just trying to help those who want to start over...like a rehad for druggies excuse me but you know what im talking about..metaphorically speaking. I am just trying to help those who feel they will try to start over and feel what its like to feel powerless... And gaining trust

I really like this idea but there must be some boundaries. For example second chances can be given only to people that have been at least builders. Many people really do need just one explanation to set them right and we do lose many players just because they make small mistakes or feel mistreated and stuff. We should consider trying to think of better ways of dealing with such problems

I do not agree with this as some people are better left out of the community. I will on specific cases interject when I believe they do not deserve a second chance. Despite me not liking this idea, the wants of the community greatly out weigh mine (based on what was posted so far) and I will say yes to it.

Just an observation, doesn't the server already have something VERY similar to this, ban appeals? The whole point of a ban appeal is to give players a second chance for a moment (or moments) of stupidity. It's for those who are truly sorry and want to change their ways. I mean, really, what your suggesting is a fine idea, we just already have it. One thing that could be implemented is when a player is banned, the ban message becomes:

You've been banned! Appeal at http://www.theitalianmafia.co!

this isint about appeal this is about teaching people helping people at becoming better then they were and to make up for what they did or something like that
its an interesting idea and seems usefull
but without a plan or more details this cant be put into effect,we need to make sure whats going to be done and is done properly

Yep ban appeals are actually only used for bans that were made by mistake or without a good reason. They were not for people that wanted a second chance
