Position applying for: Promoter (currently designer)

Why do you want to moderate?: To help out this server with the griefers abd trolls, and making the server a more fun and enjoyable place for everyone

What do you think would contribute to the moderating team? What qualities and skills do you offer?: I have many skills to offer as a promoter/moderator, I know pretty much all of the commands as i have previously been operators on other servers (most of them down now) As a promoter I would be on more frequently to help out the server and make sure everythings in good shape

Have you ever disagreed with a mod's action? If so, what would you have done as a moderator in that situation? No I have not, all the moderators i know on this server are great friendy people willing to help others at all times

What is one complaint or suggestion you have for the server?: Nothing, servers great as it is

What is one thing you think we are doing well?: You make it quite hard to obtain the ranks and you have mod applications to mak sure ur choosing the right people for the job

Are you willing to learn the commands?: Already know most of them but sure, willing to learn something new

In what situations would you not follow rules and use moral judgement?: I follow all the rules, but sometimes i toy with griefers and trolls if they are too major

If a staff member of any rank below or higher instigates a fight for any variety of reasons, what would you do?: I would either leave the server and come back later, or try to calm them down and try to control the situation, if they are of a lower rank i would do the same, but if they would not listen i would kick or mute

What is x when 2x^2=18?: a math question

Good, App.......... but i dont even think you are designer and ive only seen you on the server once and you were Apprentice. So at this point im gonna say no.

I've seen him on a few times. If anyone could copy /whois Los Labos it would be helpful. If I'm able to get on I'll do it myself. We have to confirm whether he's a designer or not.

I think it is.

On the subject of his rank, I think he was an architect (maybe artisan, something blue) yesterday, but may well have been promoted since then to designer, though he hasn't applied for a map, (which was partly made necessary so as to document all designers on forums). I also think the previous experience is a definite plus, even if his time here has been brief.

i'd say yes. your app is respectful to the server and well thought out in my opinion. as of 4/28/12 i checked his information and he is designer

Ok, well i think you are a good builder and i think you would be a good help to us. So im gonna say yes

reviewing his application, I would have preferred the following things:

1. Answered math question
2. A legitimate complaint or suggestion
3. In the aspect of following rules there are some outdated rules that do not apply, so in some instances blindly following it will turn out unintended results
4. Note that in arguments you should report conflicts to higher ranked staff members, and in the case of owners, one of the owners (markorply included). Due to somewhat polar personalities amongst the owners this should not be impossible.

Other things not addressed by staff within this application.

1. Building skill
2. Activity
3. Maturity

I have only seen him once, and it was yesterday. I believe he was artisan at the time. I don't understand how he could be a Designer already. I say no, but I will check my logs in order to make user I am not losing my mind.

/rankinfo doesn't give any information on who it was that promoted him to designer.

That could present some difficulties.

I agree Copper. Maybe Mark will be willing to login to the console and find out. Ranking to Designer within a 10 hour period is not possible.

no it's possible there was this dude and within a few hours maybe 8 or so he was architect

Yagutzzz promoted him to Designer. whosDane was shown the build that got him promoted. I am not aware of it's location, although whosDane noted that the build was "nothing amazing." I think it is too soon for us to know his personality. He seemed like a nice person when I was with him yesterday, but I would feel more comfortable with waiting a few more weeks.
